Peter Saul’s 2020 show, “Art History is Wrong,” changed my perspective on what colored pencil could contribute to a space, both as complements to other mediums and as individual works. I use this medium to explore the figures in my work, focusing on inquiries related to the way images are presented to us in real life via social media, advertising, and experience.

From 2018 – 2021 Kaleigh Quinnan worked as the editorial cartoonist for the Daily Collegian. These drawings continue to be a part of her artistic practice and to inspire her work.
